Junction City Finance Director Lindsay Miller has provided an update on city hall upgrades. Most of the basement is complete with Codes back in their original office and Customer Service continues to operate in the basement.
Construction is moving forward on the main floor. There is good progress in the customer service office and that should be complete in approximately one week. When complete, there will be a new counter area for utility payments with a glassed-in window as an added layer of protection. The update will also include new security cameras.
The upgraded system will also be standardized throughout the City with the police department having access any time. The Municipal Building will be fully monitored for everyone's safety.
Other updates within the building included adding additional picture frames in the training room for mayors who have served and the period of service.
