The Prayer & Action program recently concluded their time in the Junction city area. One of the local community members impacted by the program was Elizabeth Fewell. Students and their sponsors volunteered their time to paint her house and garage as well as helping with yard work."Our family was blessed in so many ways." said Elizabeth about the experience.

Elizabeth was also excited that her son Joshua, a student at St. Xavier School, was able to be part of Prayer and Action. He was among the 135 youth from across the state who helped with various improvements around Junction City over a 3 week period. Mornings were spent working on projects while evenings were devoted to fun, friendships, and faith.

Program coordinator Amber Davis from St. Xavier stated "Our community is very blessed to have Prayer & Action crews complete projects on and off our campus. I think it was wonderful that our parish was able to host the event this summer. We had plenty of space in the school to house the youth, sponsors, and teams, the air conditioned gym was refreshing, and the church offered space for the spiritual activities.

In closing, Amber stated "It's amazing to see the youth come together working on projects, in spiritual activities, and in play all the while making memories and friendships that last a lifetime."
