The Bike Boulevard Grand Opening event is this Saturday, October 14th. The event is being put on by Live Well Geary County and is partnered with the Geary County Food Pantry Kickoff.
Starting at 9:15 a.m. there will be a ribbon-cutting at 7th and Jefferson street in observance of the new boulevard. At the ribbon-cutting ceremony, attendees will receive a raffle ticket for a chance to win an adult bike.
Following the ribbon cutting, attendees will bike or walk along 7th street to see the new additions that were made. Individuals will go from 7th and Jefferson to 7th and Clay where the Geary County Food Pantry is having their Building Kickoff Party. At the kickoff party, turn in the raffle ticket for a chance to win the adult bike.
This Bike Boulevard project was funded by BCBSKS Pathways to a Healthy Kansas multimodal transportation initiative.
