Eagle Railcar continues to make an impact, donates to Cloud County CC

Cloud County Community College's Welding program has received a $50,000 donation from Eagle Railcar Services. The donation will be used to purchase equipment for the Welding program at both the Concordia and Junction City campuses. 

On the Concordia campus, the Welding program will be housed in the new Technical Education and Innovation Center, which will open for classes in August. 

"I am deeply grateful to Eagle Railcar Services for their generous contribution to Cloud's Welding program," said Danea Buschkoetter, Instructor in Welding. "This substantial donation will enhance our welding program at both Junction City and Concordia, enabling us to provide cutting-edge equipment that empowers our students to excel in the field of welding. This support not only emphasizes Eagle Railcar Services' commitment to education, but also represents  a significant investment in unlocking the potential of our students and shaping the future of skilled craftsmanship." 

Eagle Railcar is the nation's leading provider of railcar repair services with a location in Junction City. Founded in 2001, Eagle has focused on building a robust network of full-service railcar repair facilities with shops in six states. Built in 1974, the Junction City shop operated as Watco Railcar Repair Shop, and originally fabricated new railcars. It was purchased by Eagle in 2022.
