Quinton Point Apartments – 2316 Wildcat Lane
Currently, elementary students residing in the Quinton Point Apartments are assigned to Spring Valley Elementary. Bus transportation will be needed for those students to Westwood Elementary School, however, it requires crossing Highway K-18. That will transfer approximately 45 students to Westwood Elementary providing space for growth at Spring Valley due to the construction of duplexes in that attendance area.
Northeast Junction City – Streets of Perry, Meir, Filley, 600-1200 blocks of East 4th-12th
Currently, elementary students in the far eastern area of Junction City proper are assigned to Washington Elementary which is a 2.2-mile walk. The eleven students residing in that area will be bussed to Grandview Elementary School.
The Board of Education was in session Tuesday night.
