Manhattan man accused of animal cruelty, assault

RILEY COUNTY --Law enforcement are investigating a suspect on multiple allegations in Manhattan.

Just after 10:30a.m. Thursday, police filed a report for aggravated assault, theft of property or services, criminal use of a financial card, aggravated kidnapping and cruelty to animals in the 1000 block of Westloop Plaza, according to the Riley County Police Department activity report.

Kansas State Bank and a 22-year-old woman were listed as victims. A known 24-year-old man was listed as the suspect. Kieshawn Valorean Nolan, 24, of Manhattan, was arrested at approximately 1:25 p.m. in the 600 block of Poyntz Avenue on requested charges of aggravated assault and cruelty to animals. Nolan is being held on a $7,000 bond, according to the RCPD.
