MANHATTAN —Law enforcement authorities are investigating a burglary in Manhattan.
On Monday, officers with the Riley County Police Department were called to the American Legion Pearce-Keller Post #17 on McCall Road in Manhattan on the report of a burglary, theft and criminal damage to property, according to a media release.
Upon arrival, American Legion staff reported the doors to the building had been damaged, along with an ATM and a safe within the building being damaged and cash stolen.
An estimated $4,800 in cash was stolen from the ATM and safe, and approximately $3,300 of additional loss for the damage to the doors, ATM and safe.
American Legion and Blue Sky LLC were listed as the victims in this incident.
