JUNCTION CITY, Kan. – The Kansas State Department of Education announced on Tuesday that 16 Junction City High School seniors have been named a 2026 Kansas Career and Technical Education (CTE) Scholar.
Earning recognition on Tuesday were Christopher Weaver (Automation Engineering), Cole Goodwin (Automation Engineering), Bianca Neth (Corrections, Security, Law and Law Enforcement Services), Yasmin Diego Padilla (Corrections, Security, Law and Law Enforcement Services), Ethan Goodyear (Diversified Agricultural Science), Kaitlyn Sohnrey (Diversified Agricultural Science) and Valentina Morales (Engineering and Applied Mathematics).
Other scholar honorees were Angelina Shannon (Health Science), Aniela Adjei (Health Science), Grady Oentrich (Health Science), Morgan Nabus (Health Science), Sophia Tomlinson (Health Science), Joseph Ondrashek (Media Design and Communications), Keileigh Johnston (Restaurant and Event Management), Logan Schell (Restaurant and Event Management) and Mateo Fuentes (Restaurant and Event Management).
