2 hospitalized after 3-vehicle construction zone crash

GEARY COUNTY —Two. People were injured in an accident just before 3:30p.m. in Geary County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2004 Ford F350 driven by  Hill, Richard D. Hill, 81, Gypsum, Colorado, was westbound on Interstate 70 at Junction City in the construction zone. 

The pickup rear-ended 2011 Nissan Frontier driven by John P.  Boucher, 67, Larkspur, Colorado.  After impact the Nissan spun into the eastbound lanes and struck a 2025 Ford F450 driven by Ian T. Wuertz, 45, St. Louis, Missouri, who was hauling a 2015 Subaru. 

EMS transported Boucher and a passenger in the Nissan Janet A. Boucher, 64, Larkspur, Colorado, to Stormont Vail Health Flint Hills Campus.  There were no other injuries. All were properly restrained, according to the KHP.
