Cook Named Oliver Brown Elementary School Principal

Manhattan, KS –  Amber Cook has been named the principal of Oliver Brown Elementary School.

Cook has served as the Early Childhood Center Principal for Geary County (KS) School District since August of 2021. Prior to that, she was a 5th grade and 3rd grade elementary classroom teacher in the Gardner-Edgerton (KS) School District from 2016-2021. She has also served a Title 1 elementary teacher/intervention coordinator for Lawrence (KS) Public Schools from 2015-2016. She began her career as an elementary classroom teacher in Lawrence in 2007. Mrs. Cook received a Bachelor of Arts from Kansas State University in Elementary Education and a Master of Science in School Leadership from Baker University.

Cook will begin her role in July, 2024
