Since it's groundbreaking in April of 2019, the Geary County community has observed creation of a $132 million, 437,000 square-foot Junction City High School at 1100 Blue Jay Way. JCHS students and staff have begun classes in the facility for the current school year.

USD 475 has announced that on Oct. 9 the doors of the school will be opened for the public to experience. The ribbon cutting ceremony is scheduled from 10 - 10:30 a.m. and student-led tours will follow.

Attendees will also hear from state and local leaders plus district representatives.
