The formal announcement on development of a new Casey's at 18th and and Washington occurred Tuesday night at the Junction City Commission meeting. Economic Development Director Mickey Fornaro-Dean made the announcement.
They have worked with the company for 24 months. The company looked at a minimum of 13 potential sites in Junction City before choosing the 18th and Washington site.
She also announced:
--Michelin is very pleased with their facility in Junction City.
--Golden Shovel, the Chamber's website developer, has started doing a comprehensive website refresh.
--The Chamber was represented at the Association of the United States Army meeting in Washington D.C.
--Junction City was a finalist for an Amazon warehouse that is apparently going to Manhattan.
