Geary County KSU Research and Extension has notified the public that A Case for a Cause Pillowcase Project entries  will be received Monday, July 18 from 3-7 p.m. Exhibits will be judged Tuesday, July 19 during the Geary County Free Fair.

This contest involves sewing a pillowcase for someone in need. All pillowcases will be donated to local organizations that work with families and / or children in crisis, or experiencing difficult transitions. These children or families often pick up and move from place to place with little or no warning. Offering a child their own pillowcase to carry their few belongings in can be a comfort during transitions.

You can pick a cheery, colorful cotton fabric  ( no flannel ) and make a pillowcase.

All of the pillowcase entries will be donated to local service agencies and organizations that work with low resource and / or homeless clients.
