Rose Dahlgren has been hired by the Geary County Commission to serve as the Director of the Geary County Convention & Visitors Bureau. Commission Chair Kathy Tremont confirmed the hiring of Dahlgren.
Dahlgren has a backgound in marketing, tourism management and development, sales leadership and community storytelling. She also has experience supporting community events, regional partnerships and destination-focused businesses.
Her professional development includes work in developing guest experiences, event sales and coordination, digital communications, targeted marketing strategies and public-facing promotion.
Dahlgren holds degrees in Geography and Tourism Management & Development, plus an MBA with an emphasis in Marketing. She will begin work at the CVB on June 15.
Dahlgren comes to the CVB from a position at Acorns Resort.
