The Geary County Sheriff’s Office said that applications are now open for&nbsp;Camp&nbsp;Shield—an all-expenses-paid overnight&nbsp;camp&nbsp;experience!

This is designed for Geary County residents ages 10–13. It focuses on leadership skills, team building and alcohol &amp; drug awareness

Campers will participate in daytime activities that build confidence and teamwork, then evening events like movie nights and&nbsp; pool nights—all with limited to or no access to electronics or social media for a more meaningful, real-world connection.

&nbsp;The dates are May 27th – May 31st, 2026. The application deadline is&nbsp;May 8th, 2026
