Beginning Wednesday, August 30, the Kansas Department of Transportation will move to K-189 for a resurfacing project at multiple locations including K-209 in Dickinson and Morris counties, the K-244 spur in Geary County, and K-189 in Cloud County.
Work on K-189 will begin at the east city limits of Miltonvale and continue north to U.S. 24. (See map.)
Flaggers and a pilot car will direct one 12-foot lane of traffic through the construction zone. Drivers should be prepared for a delay of up to 15 minutes and plan extra time in their travel schedules.
Shilling Construction Co. of Manhattan is the prime contractor for this $885,434 project.
