Geary County Treasurer Sherri Childs has announced that tag renewals for heavy truck and trailer owners are due by the end of February. The Kansas Department of Revenue sends renewal notices in December, but the Treasurer's Office was just notified those notices will be delayed until at least February 1st.
You still have options to renew before the end of February:
1. You can find and print your renewal notice online by visiting https://mvs2.dmv.kdor.ks.gov/PrintRenewals/ then mail it in with payment and proof of insurance. You can also come into our office with your plate number or your last registration along with proof of insurance (trailers require proof of insurance for the vehicle pulling the trailer).
All trucks with a declared weight over 54,000 lbs. require the form 2290.
