During the June 26 meeting of the JC Breakfast Optimist Club at Jim Clark’s Chevrolet showroom, the JC Breakfast Optimist Club donated to the Geary County Girls Softball. Receiving the check was Jeff Childs, President of the Geary County Girls Softball.

Jeff told the Optimists that the teams play at the 4-H Field on South Spring Valley Road and at Cleary Park. Games are usually on Mondays through Thursdays with Coach Pitch for younger players at 6:00 PM and two games afterward for the older girls.

Players are provided with all the equipment they need to be able to play. The donation from the Optimists is used to purchase equipment and other items needed.
