Junction City finished fifth in boys wrestling at the Dodge City Invitational on Saturday. The Blue Jays scored 127.5 points to finish fifth out of 18 teams. Hoxie captured first place with 208.5 points.
Ezekiel Witt of Junction City captured first place in the 113 pound weight class. He defeated Ian Giancola of Hoxie by a 6-0 decision in the championship match.
Other Blue Jay highlights included a fourth place finish by Jaime Villaneuva in the 132 pound weight class, Patrick Foxworth second at 138 pounds, Kayden Blake fifth at 144, Griffin Bohannon fifth at 165, Logan Nabus fourth at 175 and Cooper Bogenhagen fourth at 190 pounds.
