The Lady Jay tennis team recently competed in the Centennial League Varsity Tennis tournament hosted by Manhattan at the Blue Jay Tennis Complex in Junction City.
Leading the way for the Lady Jays was Hannah Micheel. She finished 3rd in the singles bracket going 3-1 on the day. Zoey Micheel finished in 7th place as the other singles entry for the Lady Jays going 2-2.
In doubles, Emma Young and Maddi Sederlin were the high finishers earning 6th place. The other doubles team of Hannah Huddleston and Addi Sederlin went 2-2 and finished in 10th place.
Overall, Junction City finished in 4th place. Emporia won the team title. The Lady Jay tennis team next travels to Wichita on Friday, October 10th for the 6A Regional Tennis Tournament. Matches will start at 10 am and be held at the Riverside Tennis Complex.
