COTTONWOOD FALLS, KS (June 16, 2025)— Symphony in the Flint Hills announced that the Flint Hills were alive with music, memories, and meaning as approximately 8,000 guests gathered on Saturday, June 14, for their 20th Anniversary and Grand Finale Signature Event. Held at Evans Family Ranch in Chase County, this milestone event was a fitting tribute to two decades of music, art, and prairie education.
Guests enjoyed a full day of prairie experiences—from educational talks and prairie walks to roping with the outriders—all set against the stunning backdrop of the tallgrass prairie. As the sun set, the Kansas City Symphony delivered a stirring performance, followed by Kansas native and country music star Logan Mize, who brought the crowd to its feet in a high-energy finale.
Before the music began, Farrell Hoy Jenab—daughter of the late Jim Hoy and longtime supporter of Symphony in the Flint Hills—delivered a heartfelt speech honoring her family’s legacy and the enduring spirit of the prairie. Her words set the tone for a moving evening filled with reflection, connection, and celebration.
With a sold-out crowd and perfect weather, the event underscored just how beloved this gathering has become over the years. While the concert may be over, the celebration isn’t quite finished. The 2025 Prairie Art Exhibit and Auction—featuring original works inspired by the Flint Hills—is still open for bidding. Bid now through Tuesday, June 17 at 7 p.m.:
