Celebration of our diversity, continued dialogue on the topics of race and equality, beginning to create a strategy to promote entrepreneurship and job creation in the region will be issues covered during Diversity & Equality Community Forum in Junction City. The event, sponsored by Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation and presented by Junction City Main Street is scheduled from 5:15 - 7 p.m. Tuesday at the C.L. Hoover Opera House.
Among the speakers will be Junction City native and Oscar winning University of Kansas filmmaker Kevin Willmott. He'll focus on the entrepreneurial aspects of filmmaking and the challenges of being a minority filmmaker.
Ed O'Malley, Executive Director of the Kansas Leadership Center, will serve as facilitator for the forum. This event is open to the public.
