RCPD: 2 arrested for violent robbery of Manhattan boy

RILEY COUNTY —Law enforcement are investigating an aggravated robbery and have made an arrest.

According to the Riley County Police Department activity report, a 14-year-old boy reported five known suspects battered him and stole multiple items, including a cell phone on May 19, in the 1000 block of Colorado Street.

On Wednesday police arrested Tommie Earl Baggett, 18, of Manhattan, was arrested at approximately 2:08 p.m. on May 20 near Ewing Road and Brockman Street on requested charges of aggravated robbery, aggravated battery and contributing to child misconduct. Baggett is being held on a $40,000 bond.

 Whitney Terrell Hamilton, 27, of Manhattan, was also arrested – at approximately 1:23 p.m. Wednesday near Ewing Road and Brockman Street. Hamilton is being held on a $50,000 bond on requested charges of aggravated robbery, aggravated battery and contributing to child misconduct.
