Junction City Commissioners will conduct a public hearing and consider final adoption of the 2023 City budget Tuesday evening. Their meeting begins at 7 p.m. at 701 North Jefferson.
The City is not proposing an increase in the property tax levy, leaving it at 48.328 mills.

Geary County Commissioners will hear a number of reports when they meet from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. at the County Office Building. Reports from the rural fire chief / emergency management director, HR Director, public works administrator, finance officer and county clerk are on the agenda. The commission is also scheduled to meet in executive session with attorney Peter Rombold for legal matters regarding Geary Community Hospital.

USD 475 school board members will be in session at 6 p.m. at the Devin Center. They will consider purchase of 500 additional laptop computers to cover current student need and provide stock for the next two years. The Board will also be asked to consider replacement of existing business computer labs at Junction City High School.
Staff recommends that the BOE approve the recommendation from the administration to purchase the 500 student laptops and 90 student desktops from Dell for $302,949.60.
