Historical Society open house and STEAM Saturday plans

The Geary County Historical Society is set to host an open house and STEAM Saturday at the historic Starcke House on Saturday June 21st from 1pm-3:30pm. Starcke House is located directly next to the main museum building at 530 N. Adams and is one of six historic properties owned and operated by the Geary County Historical Society. Along with house tours of the 150-year-old building, there will also be Victorian lawn games and hands-on activities during the event.

The museum will also be open to the public - and everyone is welcome to stop in to explore the new exhibit: "The Missing Piece: Black History in Geary History."

STEAM Saturday is a free, come-and-go event and open to the entire community, all ages are welcome. Parking is available at the museum or along the street, and visitors should take care around construction equipment as painting continues at the museum building through the end of June.
