Geary County Historical Society held a 1920s speakeasy themed murder mystery event on Saturday October 14th.
Tickets had gone on sale in mid September and sold out quickly. Guests at the event helped solve the mystery of gangster “Al Spumoni’s” murder by examining evidence and interrogating suspects played by: Cindy Quinlan, Bill Powers, Amity Thompson, Susan Kamphaus, Jan Gray and Curtis Gray.
The investigation was led by “Prohibition Agent Ogee Mann” played by Britain Stites. Guests were invited to dress in 1920s costumes and “best costume” was awarded to the Jenkins family. The event served as a fundraiser for the Historical Society and was sponsored by DEL Motors, Subway and Family Buffet.
