The Junction City Christmas Parade begins at 5:30 p.m. Friday.
There is a new route this year. The staging area will be in the Konza Prairie Community Health Center parking lot on Grant Avenue.
The parade will proceed up Grant Avenue to Washington Street and then travel downtown to Heritage Park where Santa Claus will arrive and turn on the holiday lights in the park. He will then greet children at his Santa House in the park.
United Way of Junction City - Geary County will be serving hot cocoa in Heritage Park just before the parade kicks off. They’ll be there until 7 PM or until the cocoa runs out—whichever comes first.
