Posted Feb 01, 2023 12:43 PM

MANHATTAN, Kan. β€“ Season ticket renewals for the reigning Big 12 Champions will begin this Wednesday, February 1, and fans will have six weeks to order and renew at the 2022 rate before a price increase begins March 16 for the 2023 season.

The ticket price changes will be the first increase affecting most areas in the stadium in the last six years, which was the 2017 season.

Interest in K-State Football season tickets is at its highest since the 2017 season, during which a 39-game sell-out streak continued. The Wildcats currently have a seven-game sell-out streak, and 1,050 season tickets have already been ordered since new tickets went on sale last October.

β€œThere is tremendous excitement surrounding our football program following the 2022 Big 12 Championship run and the addition of four new programs to our league for this upcoming season,” Athletics Director Gene Taylor said. β€œWe want to keep our sellout streak of seven-straight games going, so we encourage fans to renew their season tickets immediately for no price increase. Any time we make decisions to raise ticket prices, it comes with much thought and consideration as we continue to find additional sources of revenue. And, following six years of steady prices, we feel the time is right for a nominal change.”

Season ticket holders in 2022 will receive renewal information this week via the email address associated with their online ticket account. Fans should make sure they are subscribed to emails from K-State Sports.

March 15 – Incentive Deadline

β€’ Season ticket holders must renew by this date to lock in existing 2022 pricing. Any renewals after March 15 will be at the NEW 2023 pricing.

β€’ 25% of the required Ahearn Fund per seat contribution is also due March 15.

March 16 – 2023 Pricing Begins

β€’ Renewals and new orders will begin paying the NEW 2023 season ticket price.

April 21 – Deadline

β€’ Existing season ticket holders must renew by this date to keep their current seating and parking locations.

β€’ Fans must order or renew by this date to participate in the online seating and parking upgrade process.

Price increases for the 2023 season will range from approximately $1.50-$7.50 per seat per game depending on location. A full breakdown can be seen in the chart below.

A $50 per seat Ahearn Fund contribution will also be added to the south end zone in Sections 12-17. Season ticket holders in those sections that renew online by the March 15 incentive deadline will pay the 2022 season rate, waiving the $50 per seat Ahearn Fund contribution for the 2023 season only. Beginning March 16, the new 2023 pricing will be in effect, including the $50 per seat contribution. K-State is just one of five Big 12 schools that will continue to have lower-level season tickets with no donation requirement.

The 2023 season will be the first in a new look Big 12 Conference, which sees a pair of new teams visit Bill Snyder Family Stadium as conference foes. The Wildcats open their home slate with non-conference games against Southeast Missouri (September 2) and Troy (September 9) before UCF comes calling (September 23) in its first Big 12 game. K-State hosts TCU (October 21) and another new member in Houston (October 28) in consecutive home games, while the Cats also host Baylor (November 11) and Iowa State (November 25) to close out their home schedule.
