Geary County Health Department Director Charles Martinez told the Board of Health ( county commision ) Tuesday night that the Department is expanding the Safe Kids program.
Some of the plans include giving out car seats, events, smoke detectors and firearm safety.
Seperately they are also planning on doing Bucks for Buckles.
Martinez reported that Covid numbers are down in 2026 and typical of this time of year Infuenza A had a 5.9% rating. But that number compares with 19% two years ago.
