The JC Breakfast Optimist Club is affiliated with Optimist International (OI). The purposes of OI and the local club to develop optimism as a philosophy of life; to promote an active interest in good government and civic affairs; to inspire respect for the law; promote patriotism and work for international accord and friendship among all people and to aid and encourage the development of youth, in the belief that the giving of one's self in service to others will advance the well being of humankind, community life and the world.
Three people joined JC Breakfast Optimist Club on June 18 at the Hampton Inn, and committed to help promote the purposes and values of being an Optimist Club member. Nita Miller, JC Breakfast Optimist Club President swore in the new members who Ardena Carlyon; Liza Russell and Bobby Whitten, Jr. pictured left to right.

The JC Breakfast Optimist Club meets every Wednesday at the Hampton Inn. Breakfast is available at 6:30 AM, the meeting begins at 6:50 AM and concludes at 7:30 AM. Anyone interested in supporting our youth is invited to attend.
