The Corps of Engineers as scheduled water control manual updates happening for Milford, Tuttle Creek, Perry and Clinton Lakes. One of those sessions for Milford Dam and Lake will be on Aug. 2 from 5 to 7:30 p.m. It will be held at the Geary County 4-H Senior Center.
Project Operations Manager for the Corps at Milford Lake, Bill Whitworth, said this will be an opportunity for the public to find out the lakes are managed "in terms of water level, flood management and the like." This meeting is the beginning of the process to gather input for updating the water management plan.
The public can give opinions on what they would like to see done differently in terms of water management.
There will also be a similar meeting from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Aug. 3 for Tuttle Creek Lake at the Manhattan Fire Department.
