The potential renovation of the Devin Center in USD 475 was a topic updated for the Board of Education this past week. If the District proceeds with this project in the future the Chief Operations Officer for the District, Karl DeArmond, noted that step one would involve working with the architects on programming space that would be needed.
Technology, IRC, the print shop, safety and security were functions moved out some time ago but, perhaps, could be put back in the Devin Center. That could all receive study.
DeArmond noted the roof on the building needs to be taken off and repaired, plus the HVAC needs to be swapped out. He favors putting personnel service and accounts payable near the front door.
Final decisions have not yet ben made.
