JUNCTION CITY, Kan. – Twelve outstanding Junction City High School students competed in the SkillsUSA Northeast District 3 Leadership Competition, showcasing their talent, professionalism and career-ready skills.
Earning gold at the District Three competition were Edward Paskow in Extemporaneous Speaking, Zane Rock in Job Skill Demonstration A, Elizabeth Edgerton in Job Skill Demonstration Open, Joseph Ondrashek in Pin Design and Kennedy Moreland in Prepared Speech.
“I am so proud of all the students. They represented Junction City High School well. We’re excited to move on to the state competition in March,” said Aaron Yoder, JCHS SkillsUSA advisor.
In all, JCHS participated in seven of the nine events and proudly returned home with five gold medals and multiple qualifying placements for the 2025-26 Kansas State SkillsUSA Championships, which will take place this March at the Kansas State Fairgrounds in Hutchinson.
