Lady Jays compete in league tennis tournament

The Lady Jay tennis team competed in the Centennial League Tennis Tournament on Monday.  The singles players led the way for the Lady Jays.  Abby Ratts went 2-3 on the day and finished in 8th place, while Rachel Cho went 3-3 and finished in 10th place.  Both singles players were able to avenge losses to Topeka West players that had beaten them earlier in the season.  All singles players were put into the same field.

The doubles team of Stephanie Stanislow and Avery Jacobsen went 2-3 on the day, finishing in 13th place.  The other doubles team of Hannah Ratts and Grace Harris finished in 14th place.  Doubles teams were also put into the same field.  Washburn Rural won the team title with 86 points.  Junction City finished in 6th place with 46 points.

The Lady Jays next compete in the 6A regional tennis tournament on October 8-9 at the Kossover Tennis Center in Topeka.  Matches will start at 10 am.
