
MANHATTAN —Law enforcement authorities are investigating two suspects on drug charges after a traffic stop in Manhattan.
Just after 1a.m. Tuesday, police stopped a vehicle near the intersection of S. 3rd Street and Fort Riley Boulevard for a traffic violation, according to the Riley County Police Department activity report.
Officers found meth and paraphernalia in the vehicle. They arrested Kyle Pruyn Jr., 31, of Manhattan, and Mercedes Imlay, 21, of Grandview Plaza.
Pruyn Jr. is being held on requested charges of possession of meth, possession of drug paraphernalia, and driving while suspended. He remains confined in the Riley County Jail on a total bond of $5,000. Imlay was arrested for failure to appear. She was issued a total bond of $10,000 and is no longer in custody.
Pruyn has previous convictions for drugs and driving while suspended, according to the Kansas Dept. of Corrections
