It may be be a lengthy process but Junction City Commissioners have given their approval to the formation of a task force concerming homelessness and other issues surrounding the unhoused.
The commission took the action during their meeting this week.
USD 475 and Geary County must consider the action and appointments to the task force must also be dealt with.
In other business commissioners approved the expenditure of $15,000 of the opiod/ Kansas Fights Addiction money to the Magdalene Project for acceptable uses per the Attorney General's office.
The governing body also approved a letter of support for a grant request for Stormont Vail. It would deal with proposed renovation of the birthplace unit within the hospital.
