KSU Research and Extension Geary County Nutrition Educator Ann Katt will teach an upcoming class series at the 12th Street Community Center July 6, 7, 13 and 14. Class sessions will begin at 6:30 p.m.
SNAP-Ed classes will help you make positive changes to achieve good nutrition, improve fruit and vegetable intake, increase physical activity, and stretch your food dollars.
You are eligible for our free classes if you qualify for FDPIR, Free and Reduced Lunch Program, Head Start, Medicaid/Kancare, SNAP, TANF, TEFAP, or WIC; or if your household size and gross income (income before taxes, or other subtractions) fall below the following levels:

The Money for Food curriculum is designed to help families with limited resources become more food secure. The series of lessons teach meal planning and food resource management skills. Each session focuses on changing behavior by guiding participants in learning and practicing new skills. Behavior change is reinforced through goal setting, application of skills, awareness, and peer support.
