Martha Kay Anderson, age 66, a longtime Manhattan resident, died at her residence on September 22, 2021. She was born January 26, 1955, in St. Paul. MN, the daughter of Clarence D. and Lois M. (Burkholder) Anderson. Martha graduated from Harding High School in St. Paul, and attended Winona State University in Winona, MN. Martha joined the United States Army and served one tour. Following her Honorable discharge she worked Federal Civil Service in clerical for the Department of Defense. She was a passionate Kansas State University Wildcats sports fan and loved her two cats. Survivors include her four siblings: Denton L. Anderson and his wife Debbie of Riverside, CA, Patricia N. Anderson of Seattle, WA, Dallas C. Anderson and his wife Beth of Longville, MN, and Ronald D. Anderson and his wife Karen of Dillon, CO. Cremation is planned with private family services. Memorial contributions may be made to the Flint Hills Breadbasket or the Riley County Humane Society.
