Lon F. Vernnon, 67, of Junction City, Kansas died on Sunday, March 31, 2024 at Ascension Via Christi Hospital in Manhattan, Kansas. It was Lon's wish to be cremated. No memorial service is planned.

Lon was born October 28, 1956, in Mojave, California the son of Glen and Delores (Ice) Vernnon. Lon served in the United States Army. He was a union carpenter having worked for many large construction companies with various large construction projects. Lon enjoyed going to the shooting range and riding his Kawasaki Vulcan motorcycle. He enjoyed riding his bike to the beautiful State of Colorado with his wife Elizabeth. Lon married Elizabeth Lutz April 15, 1978, in Morris, Illinois.

Survivors include his wife Elizabeth of the home in Junction City, Kansas; two sons, Eric Vernnon of Chapman, Kansas and Jacob Vernnon of Overland Park, Kansas; one brother, Mike Vernnon of Eufaula, Oklahoma.He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Cindy Vernnon.&nbsp;&nbsp;
