As a pilot project I.C.A.R.E. has partnered with the 12th Street Community Garden Committee and Live Well Geary County. The intergenerational garden will be a service-learning experience that will connect generations by growing vegetables together and sharing information about gardening.
Recently Geary County Extension Agent Chuck Otte gave a presentation on the basics of gardening to JAG students ( grades 7-12 ) at the H.D. Karns School along with several adults in the community.
