Junction City Blue Jay swimmers competed in the Class 6A State Meet on Friday at the Shawnee Mission School District Aquatic Center in Lenexa.
For the Blue Jays Gabe Lamb set a personal record with a time of 22.91 seconds in the 50-meter freestyle. He finished 17th, up seven spots from his seeding.
The 200 medley relay team was seeded 21st but finished 17th in 1:48.08. Members of the team included Jordan Jenkins, Gabe Lamb, Nate Green and Creytin Sanner.
The 200 freestyle relay team finished 15th after being seeded 24th. Their time of 1:35.13 was just six-hundredths of a seconds shy of a school record. Members of that relay team included Jordan Jenkins, Gabe Lamb, Nate Green and Creytin Sanner.
