Junction City turned in a strong defensive performance and defeated Topeka West 1-0 in girls soccer at Al Simpler Stadium Thursday evening. It was Senior Night for Junction City, who improved to 6-8 on the season. Brooke Swango scored the lone goal for the Lady Jays.
Despite the fact that it was Senior Night, the Lady Jays will still have a home game against Dodge City on Tuesday.
