Konza's Community Dental Outreach services were the recipients of the Geary Community Healthcare Foundation’s 70/80's June fundraiser event which raised over $9,000 to support this program by purchasing additional equipment to aide in serving so many students.
During the school year, their team serves over 80 schools in 19 districts across Northeast Kansas. This program provides critical access to care and is the first encounter with dental services for many students. In some higher-need schools with limited access to dental care, decay rates can be over 30%. Keeping students in the classroom healthy and pain-free is our goal. All dental outreach services are provided at no cost to families and school districts.
