The Geary County Sheriff's Department reported that on Saturday at 6:40 a.m. Deputies responded to I-70 milemarker 308 for a single vehicle accident. Erin Manning of Holton, KS was traveling westbound in a 2023 Subaru Ascent when a deer was struck in the roadway. After striking the deer the engine caught fire and destroyed the car.There were no injuries, and the vehicle removed by Renegade Wrecker.
