The Class of 2024 commencement at Junction City High School included 324 graduates.

Commencement was held Sunday afternoon in the Main Gym at the senior high school. JCHS Principal GG Booth told the graduates that they were marking" a significant milestone in their lives." She said that they had the power to shape their destiny.

A member of the senior class, Lorna Rae Pierce, noted that working their way to walk across the stage was hard, and they needed to give themselves credit.

Senior Class member, Creytin Sanner, noted that they were the last freshman class to attend at the old Junction City High School and as sophomores then attended the new school. He urged his classmates to make their mark and soar to the top.

The President of the Senior Class, Lauren Heller, told the graduates that this was the last time that they would all be together in the same room. She said that there was " No need to fear, the world is our playground."
