RILEY COUNTY—Law enforcement authorities are investigating alleged fraud in Manhattan.
Just after 3p.m. Friday, officers filed a report of fraud in the 1000 block of Westloop Place, according to the Riley County Police Department activity report.
An 87-year-old man reported unknown individuals falsely identified themselves as federal agents and threatened to close his bank accounts if he didn’t pay them.
The total estimated loss associated with this case is $1,250.
