In Kansas American Legion State Baseball Tournament play Wednesday in Salina the Junction City Blues lost in the opening round of pool play to the Overbrook Bombers 5-4.
Junction City will play Central-Burton at 12:30 p.m. Thursday in round two of pool play. There are eight teams in the tournament. Pool play will continue through Friday, and the top two finishers in each pool will advance to the semifinals and finals, which are scheduled Saturday.
