A Geary County employee task force recommendation for a Sweats for Sweats effort will be addressed at a county staff meeting next week. It would allow for a $5 cost employees could wear work appropriate jogging attire on Fridays. The goal would be to use the funds to purchase socks and sweaters for people in need. Department head approval would be needed.
The idea did not get an endorsement from the governing body but it will receive dicussion at the staff meeting.
