On Thursday at 1227 PM Deputies were dispatched to the K-18 Bypass, I-70 westbound on ramp in reference to a two vehicle non injury accident. Vivian Yang, of Blue Springs, MO, was driving south on K18 Bypass Hwy, in her 2022 Lexus RX350 merging on the on ramp of I70E and yielded to oncoming traffic. Carol Lynn Reihardt of Manhattan, KS, was traveling in her 2024 Honda CRV directly behind her and struck her from behind. No injuries were reported because of the accident.
On Thursday at 5:09 PM Deputies responded to the 9800 block of Quarry Rd. in reference to an accident that occurred in the 2400 block of Lakeview Terrace. Tyler Smice, of Milford, was traveling west in the 2400 block of Lakeview Terrace when he topped a hill and had to run off the road to avoid colliding with a school bus that was traveling eastbound. There was damage to Mr. Smice’s vehicle, no injuries were reported because of the accident. This accident is still under investigation.
