The annual Pink Up the Pace run will take place in downtown Manhattan this Saturday, April 18, at 8:00 a.m., bringing the community together in support of breast cancer research.
This meaningful event raises funds for the Johnson Cancer Research Center.
The race will begin in front of AJ’s Pizzeria and travels west along Poyntz Avenue. Participants will turn near Manhattan High School before heading back to the starting line in downtown Manhattan.
Participants can choose between running a 5K or joining the One Mile Honor Walk. Awards will be presented to the top three male and female finishers in each age division, along with two overall winners. All awards and medals will be distributed following the race.
Race packets will be available for pickup prior to the event at Manhattan Running Company or on race day beginning at 7:00 a.m. in downtown Manhattan.
Community members are encouraged to register in advance to run or walk and show their support for this important cause. You can register here.
*Volunteers are still needed for this Saturday as well. You can register by clicking here, and then click volunteer (on the right) and sign up.
